2024 Peek at the Unique Logo

For nearly 20 years, “Peek at the Unique” has earned its reputation as an island institution and a sought-after day out for islanders, seasonal residents, and visitors. Many have made it an annual tradition, taking part for ten years or more.

First, after a brief hiatus due to Covid and Hurricane Ian, the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva is delighted to announce the return of “A Peek at the Unique,” the beloved home tour and signature event which raised more than one million dollars over two decades to help local non-profits empower women and girls.

The Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva and Zonta Foundation of Southwest Florida are delighted to announce our “petite” PEEK at the Unique 2024. We are excited to share with you the resilience of our beautiful Island by touring three fabulous homes, including 2 homes in a neighborhood seldom seen, and finishing with two gardens. “PEEK” is a little different this year in that our air conditioned buses will be starting every half-hour from the Sanibel Community House (2173 Periwinkle Way) between 9 am and 1130 am on Saturday, 16 March.

One of our biggest differences this year is that there will be no bus guides and you will be able tour the homes at your leisure. And while you will receive the warmest of welcomes when you arrive at Community House, out of respect for our Sanibel restaurants who have struggled so much this year, we are not asking for their donations and instead will have a “petite” tasty snack for you.

Remember, this is a house tour that will require getting on and off buses as well as steps in and around our private homes! Tickets are very limited this year, so please sign up early! “Peek at the Unique” raises funds for the Zonta Foundation of Southwest Florida, which supports grant partners who improve the lives of women and children on the island, in this region, and globally through Zonta International.

We look forward to seeing you there. If you’re interested in further supporting our work, become a Sponsor!
