Zonta International (ZI) strives to promote and protect the human rights of all women and girls. Founded in 1919, ZI combines thousands of hours of service and advocacy annually with millions of dollars to achieve its goals: to improve the legal, political, economic, education and health status of women everywhere, and to reduce the incidence of violence against women.
Today, with more than 30,000 members in approximately 1,200 clubs in 66 countries, ZI works with agencies of the United Nations and other recognized NGOs, supporting, influencing and positively impacting carefully selected global initiatives. Grants are made through the Zonta International Foundation, established in 1985. Each year, our club makes a financial award to the ZI Foundation from the funds raised during our signature event, A Peek at the Unique.
ZI also provides annual scholastic awards to women in aerospace engineering, business and public affairs. For information on awards and all ZI projects, please visit Zonta International website.
