Zonta Chooses YWPA Recipient for 2021

The Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva has chosen Ekaterina (Katja) Pedersen-Diaz, a junior at Estero High School, to receive the 2021 Young Women in Public Affairs Award. This award, which recognizes superior leadership skills and a commitment to public service, was established by Zonta International to address the disparity in the representation of women in legislature, and emphasizes the importance of women having equal participation in decision-making processes.

Zonta Brings Back Collection Day

Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva is bringing back its annual Community Collection Day.  The 4th annual event is set for Saturday, April 17 and will be held in the parking area of the Sanibel Congregational United Church, 2050 Periwinkle Way, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon.

Still Time for Zonta “Peek” Appraisals!

The Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva invites you to help them empower women by taking part in “Peek at the Unique 2021 Repurposed,” a one-time event that replaces the club’s traditional, three-hour tour of island homes. The 2021 event features jewelry and antique appraisals, as well as an online auction of art and repurposed furniture.
