The Zonta Foundation of Southwest Florida is accepting grant applications from 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations in Lee County and Southwest Florida whose work helps to empower women. To qualify for this year’s awards, grant application must be submitted by July 16, 2021.
Zonta Foundation of Southwest Florida is the non-profit arm of the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva. The chapter is part of Zonta International, a leading global organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. Similarly, the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva focuses on education, economic self-sufficiency, safety, and health for women and girls.
Over the past 20 years, the Zonta Foundation of Southwest Florida has distributed more than $1 million in grants to qualifying charitable organizations. Although fundraising was down for the past two years due to COVID-19, the Grants Committee has worked to find ways to stretch this year’s support commitments. This Grants cycle focuses on Empowerment, with successful grant applications incorporating one or more of the following: training, education, and/or affordable housing. Applications must also specify measurable outcomes.
